A/E Gloom Farm help
Ok, I was farming ravenheart gloom with this build, and I still can't get pass the first group of torment mobs (you know, the mob that kills the orders ppl). I tried everything but for some weird reason, the mobs follow me back to the entrance (happens in normal and hard mode). I'm not complaining or anything, but I need help here. Apparently, at first, I thought my lightbringer track is at fault here, but some ppl say that it is because I simply suck as an assassin primary. The guide said it works with rank 2 (which I have), but since I got my guts ripped off, I'm thinking of increasing the rank to level 6 or so. Any suggestions? Or should I bring [skill]Glyph of Elemental Power[/skill]
By the way, in most situation when you have to farm high level areas or bosses (especially the shadow green farmer one), the assassin is always superior. I mean, would prefer longer duration of Shadow Form or deal more damage as an elementalist primary.

Normal Mode 2+
Hard Mode 4+
That is what it states. Not sure if that is the issue... but it could be. Hard Mode mobs are REALLY tenacious.
Now personally... I have rank 6 Lightbringer (farming LB/SS in Sulfurous Wastes) and have never even tried this.... but whatever the case I would recommend upping your Lightbringer rank to make it more effective.
As for Assassin or Elementalist primary.... Assassin is always defensively safer while Elementalist has more offensive power. Sometimes it is indeed to have more offensive power to get the whole thing done more quickly (trying to take down the last Graven Monolith solo in A Show of Force farm as A/E is... annoying) but generally A/E is better to start with than E/A for pure safety reasons... yes.

yeah, maybe you are right, I think A/E is better and it might have to do with my Lightbringer rank, or maybe my tactcs suck. But I'm curious why the torment creatures who attack the orders still follow me to the entrance when I use dark escape to flee and cancel the shadow walk stance (and it happened in normal mode as well). By the way, am I suppose to fight these guys who will attack the orders at the entrance?

What!?! Are you nuts!? Run past the first group? Isn't that suicide and the mobs would follow you and such. If you say so, then it might be my mistake.

Pity you're using Shadow Walk.... but if it is essential then it is essential, and naught can be done about it.
On the other hand... Shadow of Haste is really good at breaking aggro.... even from tenacious hard-mode enemies. It is just a matter of getting them to chase you the wrong way.... way off track..... then cancelling out and running past the empty gap where they used to be.
Since the closest I've come to the Domain of Anguish was the gate to get the Razah quest, I don't really have any experience beyond there. I should probably try the farm some time though. Perhaps when I've got Lightbringer rank 8.

Wait there till they start fighting with the Whispers, once they have engaged battle, you can run right through them. The groups you farm, the groups that link is talking about, is in the far corner of the map there. That link is only talking about killing 2 or 3 groups solo. If you bring more E/A's or A/E's (preferably 3 or more) with the same build, you can take out almost every mob in there.
GLHF!

yeah, I'm going to question the guy who placed shadow walk there, I'm going for the shadow of haste/dash combo instead.
